The abandoned archaeology outpost is a notable landmark in "Delphaeus Hills", featured in Carnivores 2 and Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter. It features a low, broken concrete barricade surrounding two buildings: a communications building with a satellite dish on the roof, and a partially flooded barracks. There are also two piles of wooden crates and a set of ruts presumably left by vehicles.
This can be a good place to ambush animals, though like with all other buildings in the game, animals simply walk through the buildings in the archaeology outpost.
