"The Pyramids of Shmu-Hadron" is the fifth area in Carnivores. This is a good map for experienced hunters. The pyramids in the desert terrain of this area were built by a long-gone race, and their use remains unknown to archeologists. These structures are ideal for hunting and hiding around, but beware; predators can climb the pyramids too.
Geography[]
Boasting one of the most diverse topographies of the Islands, this area offers desert alongside grassy jungle and haphazard hills and deadly chasms.
Northeast Quadrant[]
The desert portion of the island runs through its center and covers its eastern-most portion. This is where the pyramids are located. Small areas of trees and grass can be found dotting this area, a good place to hide when a predator is in sight.
Southeast Quadrant[]
The northern forested area features many small hills and trees. A large, curved, mountainous area can be found in the island's northwest corner, difficult to access unless a player has turned on debug mode.
Northwest Quadrant[]
In the east of the island, in the desert area, lie three pyramids that can be climbed by the player, a good area to perch and shoot dinosaurs from a distance. One of the pyramids has partially collapsed, and has filled with sand, upon which vegetation has grown. Predators can reach the player on the pyramids when attacking.
Southwest Quadrant[]
The southern portion of the island is dominated by trees and vegetation, as well as rocky hills and a curving mountain chain. The mountain chain can be climbed by the player, as well as other dinosaurs.
The chasm[]
Near the island's center there is a medium-sized chasm. While a good hiding place, this is not somewhere to retreat to if one is being pursued by a Tyrannosaurus, as they will be cornered by the predator.
